I've been to Vegas quite a few times and there's just
something about this city that gets the adrenaline going.
It's not hard to believe this is one of the most exciting
tourist destinations in the world. From the moment you step
off the plane, even the airport is exciting. With the slot
machines pinging and the many shops, it just seems brighter
somehow. Even if you are looking for a cheap
travel vacation destination, don't leave
Vegas off your list. There are ways to save money!
From there it is a short taxi or shuttle ride over to
the strip where, if you have never seen the sight before,
you will be amazed. If you arrive at night you'll be
greeted by extravagant neon signs, colorful mega-resorts
that tower above the strip, moving walkways, and lots of
people no matter the time of day or night.
You'll probably notice a lot of signs along the strip
advertising buffets and lots of dinner and lunch specials.
Take note of these if you would like to save some money on
food, as there are many for you to choose from. Now, I will
not say this will going to be the absolute best, top-notch
food you have ever eaten, but for a quick lunch while you
are out and about seeing the sights, you can save quite a
bit and then spend a little more on a nice dinner. Do a
little research on the casino restaurants, as these resorts
offer some of the finest dining you will find anywhere.
Well worth a little splurge after saving on your breakfast
and lunch earlier.
When you check into your hotel, ask if they have any
coupon books available. Or if you think about it when you
make your reservations, you can ask at that time. Often you
can find a lot of good savings in these little books like
two-for-one meals, discounts on shows, and dinner
coupons.
Another example of how you can save money in Vegas: Each
of the beautiful hotel resorts have free things you can do.
For example, Bellagio has an amazing and just breathtaking
lobby, so bring your camera and enjoy. They also have the
astounding world famous fountain show out front which can
be seen from all over. I never tire of this show. Be sure
to see it at night as well. Caesars Palace has the Forum
Shops and plenty of other freebies, Bally's has the water,
sound, and light show, Mirage has the white tigers and
erupting volcano (and much more), Venetian has the Grand
Canal Shoppes, the canal and gondolas. That is to name just
a few, but each hotel has lots you can do for free or very
cheap.
This city is simply great for people watching. Photo
spots abound so don't forget your camera.
These ideas are really just a tiny drop in the bucket of
all the ways you can find for cheap travel and
spending a lot less than you ever thought possible. So if
you get the chance, don't miss this very exciting and
really amazing city.
